Quality was good with large supplies of feeder weights, along with lighter types suitable for re-stockers. There were limited numbers of heavy grown cattle and prime cows. Most of the regular buyers were operating. Prime yearling steers held firm selling from 450c to 462c, while prime yearling heifers were considerably dearer, they sold from 420c to 450c/kg. Feeder cattle lifted 10c, steers selling from 416c to 490c, and heifers, 380c to 455c/kg. Prime grown cattle were steady, heavy steers selling from 380c to 458c, and heavy heifers, 370c to 449c/kg. Cows were firm to slightly better, 2 and 3 scores sold from 290c to 376c, and heavy prime cows, 366c to 385c/kg. Heavy bulls sold to 410c/kg. Quality was good with trade and heavy lambs well represented, along with lightweight lambs with condition suitable for processors. Re- stockers were also active, buying lighter secondary types. All the regular buyers were operating along with additional processing and restocking orders. Lightweight processing lambs to 18kg lifted $15, selling from $122 to $230/ head. Trade weights 20kg to 24kg were firm selling from $228 to $275/head, averaging 1100c to 1130c/kg cwt. Heavy lambs over 24kg gained $10, they sold from $254 to $357/head, averaging from 1080c to 1120c/kg cwt. Lamb to re- stockers sold to $250, and heavy hoggets reached $285/head. There was 3690 mixed quality mutton yarded, and prices lifted $5 across most grades. Merino ewes sold from $70 to $260, and crossbred ewes, $138 to $275/ head.
