Quality was good with with a large yarding of cows and prime grown cattle, medium weight feeders were also well supplied. Most of the regular buyers were present and the market sold cheaper. Prime yearling steers were firm to slightly dearer selling from 306c to 338c, while prime yearling heifers were up to 20c cheaper, 230c to 320c/kg. Feeder weight cattle were 10c softer, steers sold from 273c to 369c, and heifers, 230c to 317c/kg. Prime grown steers were considerably cheaper selling from 270c to 338c, while prime grown heifers eased 5c, 252c to 335c/kg. Cows dropped 20c, 2 and 3 scores sold from 174c to 266c, and heavy prime cows, 265c to 280c/kg. Heavy bulls sold to 342c/kg. New season processing lambs to 18kg lifted $12 selling from $90 to $142/head. Trade weights 20kg to 24Kg eased $5, new season lambs sold from $156 to $200/head, averaging 750c to 810c/kg cwt, and trade weight old lambs sold between $150 and $189/head. Heavyweights over 24Kg were firm, with the heavy new season lambs selling from $206 to $257, ranging between 800c and 830c/kg cwt, and heavy old lambs sold from $200 to $256/head. Heavy hoggets reached $154/head. There was 3798 mixed quality mutton yarded, and prices were slightly dearer. Merino ewes sold from $62 to $110, and crossbred ewes, $62 to $144/head.
