Quality remains good with a large portion of the yarding feeder weights as well as good supplies of heavy prime cows and grown cattle. All the regular buyers were operating. Young cattle to the trade were firm to 10c dearer, prime yearling steers sold from 350c to 397c and prime yearling heifers, 210c to 390c/kg. Feeder cattle held firm, steers to feed sold from 320c to 416c and feeder heifers, 290c to 364c/kg. Prime grown cattle lifted 5c to 10c, heavy steers sold from 284c to 388c and heavy heifers, 240c to 374c/kg. Cows were firm to 5c dearer, 2 and 3 scores sold from 160c to 300c and heavy prime cows, 295c to 342c/kg. Heavy bulls sold to 298c/kg. Quality was mixed with trade and heavy weights well presented, along with secondary types lacking finish suitable for re-stockers. Most of the regular buyers were present. Lightweight processing lambs to 18kg were slightly cheaper, down $3, $32 to $133/ head. Trade lambs 20kg to 24Kg were $5 dearer, $162 to $208/head, averaging between 780c and 820c/kg cwt. Heavy weights were up to $10 dearer, lambs over 24Kg sold from $210 to $245/head, averaging 840c to 860c/kg cwt. Heavy hoggets sold to $160/head. There was 1058 mixed quality mutton yarded, and prices eased. Crossbred ewes sold from $45 to $148/head. Wooley Merino Wethers sold to $110 and crossbred rams to $40/head.
