CENTRAL TABLELANDS LIVESTOCK EXCHANGE - CTLX PRIME CATTLE SALE DATE: TUESDAY 17TH FEBRUARY 2026 SALEYARD: CTLX CARCOAR TOTAL YARDING: 3660 (+681) Numbers lifted by 681 for a yarding of 3660 cattle. Quality was good with most of the yarding made up of feeder weights and lighter secondary cattle suitable for re-stockers. There were limited supplies of heavy prime cattle and cows. Most of the regular buyers were operating. Young cattle to the trade were 5c to 10c cheaper. Prime yearling steers selling from 425c to 460c, and prime yearling heifers, 412c to 450c/kg. Feeder steers were firm to 5c better, selling from 418c to 512c/kg. Feeder heifers held firm, selling from 384c to 446c/kg. Prime grown cattle dropped 20c, heavy steers sold from 371c to 443c, and heavy heifers, 340c to 440c/kg. Cows were firm to dearer, 2 and 3 scores sold from 245c to 380c, and heavy prime cows, 375c to 388c/kg. Heavy bulls sold to 413c/kg. LAMB & SHEEP SALE DATE: WEDNESDAY 18TH FEBRUARY 2026 SALEYARD: CTLX CARCOAR TOTAL YARDING: 10368 (-2052)| SHEEP YARDING: 3357 (-333) | LAMB YARDING 7011 (-1719) Numbers were back by 1719 for a yarding of 7011 lambs. Quality dipped with mostly trade weight and light secondary lambs penned, with good heavy lambs mixed throughout. Re-stockers were again active and demand from processors slipped. Lightweight processing lambs to 18kg were $10 to $15 softer, selling from $144 to $211/head. Trade weights 20kg to 24kg were down $10, they sold from $200 to $265/head. Heavy lambs over 24kg were $15 cheaper, selling from $252 to $330/ head. Carcass prices averaged between 1040c and 1080c/kg cwt. Light lambs to re-stockers sold to $240, and heavy hoggets reached $280/head. There were 3357 mixed quality mutton yard and prices were firm. Merino ewes sold from $112 to $200, and crossbred ewes, $128 to $294/head. Merino weathers sold from $168 to $215, and rams to $200/head. Most sheep sold in the range of 820c to 860c/kg cwt.
