CENTRAL TABLELANDS LIVESTOCK EXCHANGE - CTLX PRIME CATTLE SALE DATE: TUESDAY 3RD FEBRUARY 2026 SALEYARD: CTLX CARCOAR TOTAL YARDING: 3650 Numbers lifted by 1508 for a yarding of 3650 cattle. Quality was fair with good supplies of feeder weights along with secondary cattle suitable for re-stockers. There were limited numbers of heavy prime cattle and cows. All the regular buyers were operating. Prime yearling steers were firm to dearer selling from 447c to 470c/kg. Prime yearling heifers were considerably cheaper, selling from 350c to 420c/kg. Feeder steers were back 10c, selling from 384c to 481c, while feeder heifers lifted 15c, 390c to 437c/kg. Prime grown steers were cheaper selling from 380c to 468c, and prime grown heifers were 30c dearer, 380c to 466c/ kg. Cows eased 4c, 2 and 3 scores sold from 100c to 381c, and heavy prime cows, 345c to 390c/kg. Heavy bulls sold to 415c/kg. Quality was good with well- finished trade and heavy lambs in good supply. Lighter secondary lambs were mixed throughout the sale and were sort after by re-stockers. Most of the regular buyers were operating in stronger market. Lightweight processing lambs to 18kg were firm to dearer, selling from $140 to $215/head. Trade weights 20kg to 24kg lifted $10 to $15, selling from $206 to $275/ head. Heavy lambs over 24kg were $5 better, they sold from $264 to $345/head. Carcass prices averaged between 1070c and 1140c/kg cwt. Lambs to re-stockers sold to $280, and heavy hoggets reached $300/head. There was 4239 mostly plain quality mutton yarded and prices were firm. Merino ewes sold from $103 to $218, and crossbred ewes, $115 to $266/head. Merino Wethers sold from $126 to $184, and rams sold to $160/head. Most sheep sold in the range of 830c to 870c/kg cwt.
