Feeder weights were in good supply and highly sort after by buyers. There was also a good supply of heavy grown cattle and a large yarding of cows. All the regular buyers were present. Young cattle to the trade were firm to slightly dearer. Prime yearling steers sold from 311c to 335c and heifers, 230c to 340c/kg. Feeder steers gained 15c selling between 240c and 395c while feeder heifers were firm, 260c to 340c/kg. Prime grown cattle were down 10c, heavy steers sold from 218c to 335c and heavy heifers, 210c to 329c/kg. Cows were 10c to 15c SHEEP YARDING: 2130 LAMB YARDING: 4614 Numbers eased by 377 for a yarding of 4614 lambs. Quality was mixed with mainly trade weights penned along with pens of secondary lambs and good runs of heavyweights. Most of the regular buyers were present. Lightweights processing lambs to 18kg held firm selling from $68 to $128/head. Trade lambs 20kg to 24kg gained $4 selling between $145 and $180/head to average 690c to 730c/kg cwt. Heavy lambs 24kg to 26kg were firm, $180 to $191 and lambs over 26kg were up to $10 cheaper, $195 to $207/head, averaging 710c to 730c/kg cwt. Heavy hoggets reached $145/head. There was 2130 mixed quality mutton yarded and prices lifted by $15 across most grades. Merino ewes sold from $37 to $96 and crossbreds $43 to to $88 and crossbreds $130/head. dearer, 2 and 3 scores selling from $128/head.
