I extend my gratitude to all the witnesses whose valuable contributions are guiding this crucial legislative process. I was delighted to meet with Minister Rose Jackson MLC and representatives from CatholicCare Wilcannia-Forbes and Homes NSW, including Anne-Marie Mioche, Kate Gibson, Dorothée Crawley, and Rebecca Pinkstone. We focused on homelessness and its specific challenges in regional NSW. The insights gained are vital for securing ongoing government support. Additionally, I spoke at the Country Mayors of NSW conference in Forbes, highlighting key regional issues like health, law enforcement, disaster resilience, and notably, housing.
