Orange Tenpin BOWL BAYS Order of Australia Honours Jason Belmonte AM HEY HEY ORANGE, The Orange Jnr Cup was held over the weekend. We ran a super succesful "Belmo Night" where I came and howled with a bowl full of juniors and their families. It was fun and exciting and honestly I had a blast taking photos and giving my autograph out. It was the perfect pre event for the main event the following day. My son, nephew and cousins were part of the competition and watching them all bowl in the same tournament I did when I was their age really makes me proud and happy. Who knows if they will follow my footsteps through my entire career, but watching them roll on the same lanes in the same tournament I did gives me hope that they are starting the same way I did! Hugo ended up averaging 199.9 for the tournament scratch which for a 12 year old is just outrageous. He didn't win, he came 5th in scratch and 3rd in handicap, but he definitely made it known to the 16-17-18 year olds that they will have their hands full in the coming years. Can only hope Hugo's name will be added to the cup like mine was. Time will tell.
