Iberdrola Australia At Iberdrola Australia, we're investigating two potential wind farms not far from Orange, both in softwood pine plantations managed by the Forestry Corporation NSW. One is the potential 33-turbine Mullion Creek Wind Farm proposed within the Mullions Range State Forest softwood pine plantation about 20 kilometres north of Orange, on Wiradjuri Country. The other is the potential 21-turbine Four Mile Creek Wind Farm, which would be located about 15 kilometres south of Orange within the Canobolas State Forest softwood pine plantation, also on Wiradjuri Country, near the Cadia mine. Our first projects in Australia were established more than 20 years ago. We now own and operate 21 energy projects around Australia, including Flyers Creek Wind Farm about 20 kilometres south of Orange, where we have multiple community partnerships, and a Squirrel Glider Habitat Improvement project. We have a Community Information Hub at 119 Byng St, Orange, to make sure locals can ask questions and give feedback about the wind farm proposals. We are taking a practical approach to minimise non-essential travel and reduce pressure on local fuel supply, so for the time being we're by appointment only. If you'd like to meet, please get in touch via email at mullioncreekwindfarm@ iberdrola.com.au or fourmilecreekwindfarm@iberdrola.com.au or call Chris on 0448 293 899. We've awarded a number of community grants so far. Last year, our grants went to local organisations including: North West Orange Rural Fire Service (new radios) March Rural Fire Service (upgraded satellite internet for better communications) Mullion Creek Rural Fire Service Mullion Creek & District Progress Association Springside Rural Fire Brigade (new radios) Rural Fire Service Canobolas Chainsaw Brigade Springside Progress Association Nashdale Lidster Public Hall Canobolas Public School Parents and Citizens Association We'll soon be awarding the next round of grants for Mullion Creek and Four Mile Creek Wind Farms, with a new round of community initiatives.
