Orange Tenpin BOWL RAYS Order of Australia Honours Jason Belmonte AM HEY HEY ORANGE! The NSW Country Championships have come and gone and an update on how it went. Record numbers of players came from all over the state and the country to shoe up on the Orange lanes. I bowled doubles and teams with my son and family. We had a shaky start in the doubles for Hugo and I. Some nerves may have been there (for us both) and we cracked the top 5 in the Open doubles. However once the team event started the nerves were all gone for the boys and we took out the title in the team event. A fantastic effort in an adult event. Hugo then went on to come 7th in the masters and other than one disaster game, he was right in the hunt to win it. Not bad for a 13 year old playing against the much more experienced adults. In the end I had an absolute blast bowling with my family and watching my boy give the fellas a run for their money.
