About
At present St Mary's Catholic Primary School Orange is a two stream school catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. The school is presently engaged in a building program. The first stage has been completed adding two purpose built rooms containing interactive technology, a designated Science & Technology area as well as breakout spaces to facilitate flexible delivery of instruction and differentiated learning. Grades 5 & 6 are currently in our new areas. Further refurbishment of existing buildings will be completed in early 2020 for Grades 1 & 2, and a second stage building project will begin for Grades 3 & 4.
St Mary's Catholic Primary School is a Professional Learning Community that works in collaboration with family, parish and community to celebrate high levels of learning for all. We recognise parents as the first educators of their children. We seek to form strong bonds with our families so that we can be partners in continuing and expanding on what parents have commenced at home. In our task, we hope to complement the endeavours of parents as we work with the most precious of gifts, the child. We welcome and encourage parental involvement and acknowledge the enormous foundation and support that the children of our school have from their families.
The school is involved in a variety of community, parish and diocesan activities and events whilst providing a rich curriculum for the students. St Mary's Catholic Primary School is part of the Diocese of Bathurst Education System, under the direction of Executive Director of Schools, Mrs Christina Trimble. Father Greg Bellamy, Parish Priest, is the school manager and is consulted on a variety of issues relating to the school.
