My name is Steve Peterson. I'm 38 years old and I am a local doctor, family man, and quadriplegic. I was elected to Council in 2021, and I am deeply committed to continuing my work for our community. My focus remains on the core business of Council, ensuring that our resources are used effectively and responsibly. I bring a balanced and pragmatic approach, being financially cautious and free from any particular ideology or personal agenda. It's my priority to serve you. I will work hard to ensure your rates are spent wisely in ways that benefit you and the community of Orange. My goal is to refocus the Council on its core business instead of issues outside of Council's remit. Some of these goals have faced opposition from other councillors, but a strong election result will show that our community supports these ideas and wants them implemented.
